Going To Life Ed :)

Life Education has been teaching my class all about drugs and how it can affect around your lives and our family.The person who was teaching us all about drugs was Lynn she showed us videos and clips of people who were taking drug and how their lives ended.I enjoyed this because it teaches me what drug would happen when you take it so thank you life Ed .

When we walked inside a lady named lynn told us to sit down in rows of  three or four.When we were all ready shes told us about drugs she that “Drugs is not good you because it can change everything in your body but mostly your heart and brain” as she was talking she showed my class and I movies about people who took drugs and how they ended up with their lives turned around.

One of the movies that we watched told us about this lady and she started to take drugs when is was sixteen or seventeen she said that “When I got to court she thought that she was going to get home detention but instead the judge said shes going to jail and all she could think of was the fact that it was just a waste of time buying all those food.

The thing I really enjoyed about Life Ed was  things they showed us and the movies about those people who were taking drugs I also loved the dances we did and the tricks Lynn showed us it was really hard at first but then it started to get really easy.The session we went to we watched this movie with this owl in it and he was talking about drugs its was so much fun.

As I was sitting there watching all those movies what would happen if someone in your life took thoughts and what would happen to do them would they go through the same things or would live in happiness.

Anisha And Allanah Straw Oboe Experiment

Name: Anisha and Allanah

Title of experiment: Straw oboe experiment

Question:
(What do we want to find out?)
We want to find out that if the straws are smaller why do they have different pitches to each other.Also we want to find out that if we cut big holes in the straws will it still make the sound or will it not work and for me I would love to find out What will happen if the straw gets to small will it work or not.

Hypothesis:  (what do you think will happen?
I think that when we start to cut the holes in the straw it might be a bit too big.Also I think it is going to be really fun and also really noises because this experiment that we are doing is going to be really loud but I hope that you get to do this at home.

Procedure:
How will we find out?
(Step by step)
first we needed some straws and scissors. then we flatted one edge of the straw with our fingers then we cut one edge of the straw. After that we needed to put the straw in our mouth (the bit we cut ) then we started blowing on the straw and when you do that it makes a really funny and annoying noise after you finished doing that you should start making some little holes on the side of the straw one below the other then put two fingers on top of the holes and start blowing then try taking your fingers on and off and when we finished doing that we started blowing again. Then we tried cutting of little bits of the straw while still blowing the pitch when you are cutting off pieces from the straw it makes a higher and higher pitch every time you cut pieces.That is how we did the straw experiment.

Results:
What actually happened?
When we finished making the straw thing we blew into the straw (the part we cutted) and as we started to blow this kind of annoying wired funny noise came out which really funny to laugh at but as putted a more and more straws onto it,it started to get really hard to blow though but at the end it was really fun.

Conclusions:
What did we learn?
we learnt that when you cut the edges of the straw it makes a noise an annoying and funny noise and when you cut little holes in the side of the straw one below the other (but only two holes) you can make different sound you just need to take your finger on and off and if you cut pieces off it will make a higher pitch every time you cut little pieces off.

Questions:
1. What is producing the sound?
producing sound is when you are blowing into the straw
2. What pitch did we get when all holes were closed, compared to when the holes were
open? When there is no holes in the straw and you start to blow it will go into a high pitch.
3. What does opening or closing a hole in the straw really mean in terms of vibrating an
air column? it means that when the holes are closed or open it means the vibration will do a

4.what happens to the pitch as you cut off pieces off the straw? why?when you cut off pieces of the straw it is higher the pitch is higher

Everything About Sound

Why is sound important?
Knowing that you can hear wonderful things around you which everyone calls sound is pretty much important to have its like getting a gift and always using it when ever you like and just imagine having no sound at all which I really don’t want to happen because you won’t be able to talk or play or chat or even laugh so just rember sound is very important no matter how loud it goes.

Where do sound waves come from?
Every sound should start with a vibration.When the sound you make will start to vibrate through your throat which strong bands in your muscles called vocal cords begin to start shaking and moving so then when you feel the urge to talk.Then the VIBRATION makes the air move,which those motions are sound waves.

What is sound?
Sound is energy that is transferred by waves. Which you people call “SOUND” is the result of the waves which would hit your eardrum then vibrate up to your brain.Then your brain will say “I heard that sound before”.

Conclusion:
Sound comes in many different ways like if you clap really loud the sound waves are closer and if you clap slowly the sound waves are farer so has you see there are lots of different in sound also when you move around vibration is around you but you can’t it.

Alphabet Addition

Each number in the alphabet equals a number, here is your key.

You need to add the numbers in the words together to find your answer.

A = 1
B = 2
C = 3
D = 4
E = 5
F = 6
G = 7
H = 8
I = 9
J = 10
K = 11
L = 12
M = 13
N = 14
O = 15
P = 16
Q = 17
R = 18
S = 19
T = 20
U = 21
V = 22
W = 23
X = 24
Y = 25
Z = 26

Vibration - 22 + 9 + 2 + 18 + 1 + 20 + I +  15 + 14 = 99
Maths - 13 + 1 + 20 + 8 + 19 = 61
Sound - 19 + 15 + 21 + 14 + 4 = 73
Molecule - 13 + 15 + 12 + 5 + 3 + 21 + 12 + 5 = 86
Experiment - 12 + 24 + 16 + 12 + 18 + 9 + 13 + 12 + 14 + 20 = 150
Pitch - 16 + 9 + 20 + 3 + 8 = 56
Transferred - 20 + 18 + 1 + 14 + 19 + 6 + 12 + 18 + 18 + 12 + 4 = 142

Movement - 13 + 15 + 22 + 12 + 13 + 12 + 14 + 20 = 121
